Take an Hour - Go for Visual Treats
Tired of the attack ads on TV? Want to find a refuge from all the swirl of the day’s talk and stress? Or, would you like to see a few pieces of art? Aurora’s History Museum is just the place for you to go. The 14th annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Exhibit and Sale is going on until November 1. This evening, Friday October 3, 2008, was the wine and cheese party for the artists. A lot of fun. Touring the galleries was a pleasure that took me away from all of what is going on outside the museum. Only the artwork was important while I was there. And, it was very impressive artwork. Artists from Aurora and the metro region submit their works, also, from around the U.S. The miniature paintings are marvelous. They are impressive for the detail and it is so hard trying to imagine how many hours of meticulous work went into each one. If you want to take an hour or so just stop in and tour the wonderful works
